Snider Short Rifle - Portuguese Contract
This is an excellent Snider Rifle marked 1878 with an FA stamp indicating it was one of only 1200 manufactured and shipped to Portugal. At this time the British Army were adopting the Martini Henry rifle but Snider's were still being manufactured and exported all over the world.
This rifle is mechanically excellent with a good bore and nice breach , no damage or repairs to the woodwork and as nice an example of a Snider short rifle as you would possibly see.
